If you are an EU passport holder who is resident of a non-EU country, you are eligible as long as you can provide a proof of your residency outside the EU (for French citizens, the consulate registration proof is required).
I'm an international student studying in France - can I use Wevat?
If you are international student in France, you can benefit from tax-refund shopping for purchases made in the last 3 months of your studies, before heading back permanently to your country of residence (which must be a non-EU country).
I'm a resident of Monaco or a French overseas territory - can I use Wevat?
Unfortunately, no - residents of the Principality of Monaco and the French overseas territories of Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, Mayotte and Réunion are not eligible for a tax refund on shopping in France.
I'm a resident in Britain (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) - can I use Wevat?
Yes. Following Brexit, British travellers can now claim a VAT refund on purchases made in the EU.
