When you first sign up to Wevat, you'll need to complete the electronic identity verification process (known as eKYC).
The eKYC process is easy, and should take no more than 5 minutes - you'll need to take a picture of your identification document (usually a passport, but other forms of ID may be accepted depending on your nationality - please check here) and a live selfie of your face using the in-app camera.
To ensure you pass through eKYC smoothly without any delays:
Check that your passport/ID is valid for at least 3 months. If it is not, please contact customer support through the in-app chat
Use your actual passport/ID for the photo, not a photocopy or picture of your passport/ID
Take a clear photo of your passport/ID, ensuring every single detail is visible and without any blurs
If you're using a passport, make sure the photo is of the page with your personal information (not your visa page)
Take the photo in a brightly lit space
Turn flash off to avoid any glare on your documents
