Wevat now supports departure points outside of France. You can claim your tax refund back if you take the following steps:
Update your departure date in the app to show when you are leaving the EU.
Print out the refund form PDF found in the app (It says “Bordereau de vente à l’exportation” at the top).
Bring the refund form and all your items to your departure point’s customs desk and get the form stamped by local customs. This could be before or after security, so it’s best to look up the location in advance.
Take a photo of all the pages of your stamped refund form and send it to us on the app live chat.
You will receive your tax refund within 3 months after we have received your uploaded stamped form.
Please note:
This procedure is only allowed for items purchased in France. If you made a purchase in another EU country outside of France, please use the local traditional tax refund instead.
If you have a transit flight, please ask the local customs and confirm where you can claim your tax refund.
Please feel free to contact us on live chat if you have any questions.
